Telephone Consultation

You can request a telephone consultation as long as you don't need an examination.

Home Visits

This service is available for Housebound patients.

7 Day Access Service

If no appointments are available in surgery on the day, patients can phone the surgery to book a pre-bookable appointment at the Family Surgery – Birkdale.

Chaperones & Interpreters

All patients are welcome to be accompanied at their consultations by a friend or relative, and we can also arrange for chaperones at consultations at both clinical request and patient request.

Should patients require an interpreter then this can be organised by prior arrangement, we also employ a Polish speaking receptionist.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Book appointments online

If you want to avoid the phone queue you can use our online consultation system called PATCHS which is available via our website home page. This enables you to complete one of several different questionnaires appropriate to your symptoms or condition.

Using PATCHS is simple to use and contains extensive self-help and signposting resources.
