Advanced Practitioners come from a range of professional backgrounds such as nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy and paramedics. They are highly trained and have the knowledge and skills to manage all aspects of patient care.

• ordering tests and interpreting results
• prescribing medication.
Physician associates (PAs) are healthcare professionals with a generalist medical education who work alongside doctors providing medical care as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team. PAs are trained to work within a defined scope of practice and limits of competence to perform the following duties:

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
The district nursing team work with us to provide nursing care and support to our patients in their own home. The district nurses may be contacted by calling their own office on 01704 387212. Their out of hours number is 01704 531978. The district nurses work closely with the palliative care team where the need arises.
The Practice has an ante-natal clinic every Thursday afternoon. Appointments for this can be booked at reception or over the Telephone.

Advanced Nurse Practitioner Clare is a registered nurse prescriber and can see patients with minor ailments. Clare works closely with the GP's in the practice and specialises in Female Health. She works Monday - Thursday.
Practice Manager Working Monday to Thursday The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
Working Tuesday - Friday. Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks. The practice nurse runs clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma, diabetes or heart disease. They also carry out smears.
